Hair spray

A heat pump that heats water in a boiler. It was installed in the “boiler room.” The boiler room is a passageway between the living and business parts of the house. In other words, it is heated. What’s the point of cooling the house to heat water? Ideally, this unit should have been either placed outside or equipped with air ducts, for which there were actually connections on top of the unit. The business part is a hair salon. Everything is well-kept and beautiful. So charming. And the boiler room itself is a perfectionist plumber’s dream. Neatly organized pipes and collectors. The expansion tank and pump are suspended. The pump is on a special shelf. The expansion tank is mounted on a bracket that also serves as the supply pipe. Practical. Everything is designed so that the floor below can be beautifully tiled (!) in the boiler room and kept clean. Pleasant impressions.
What broke? The evaporator radiator was just covered in hairspray. It’s a hair salon, after all. Tons of hairspray. And the owner is 50 years old, but very well-groomed. All that hairspray dust gradually accumulated on the radiator. We cleaned it. Then we left.
