Almost everyone has a dream like this. Some want to buy an uninhabited island with a villa on it, some want a yacht to sail around the world, and some dream of becoming a forest ranger (hi, Masha). My dream is to be a “warden in a reserve for marsupial crocodiles.”
I won’t touch on the fact that after achieving such a dream, almost everyone will be disappointed within just a couple of weeks. After all, if you had enough energy to reach it, what will you do on the island for more than two weeks? Howl at the moon? I’ll focus on the foundation.
What is the essence of such dreams? It is a state where no one disturbs you, and in return, you disturb no one. Ideally, you are so undisturbed that you do not exist for the world. Likewise, ideally, you do not disturb anyone to the point that the world does not exist for you.
What other state of a person is described by such an effect? …death.
The rational part of us, everything that constitutes our consciousness, when analyzing the external world, eventually arrives at the idea of the futility of all this hustle and bustle. Everyone has their own path to this realization. No matter what meaning a person accepts for their life, it still does not answer the next question: “Why?”
- Raise children? Why? So they can raise children? Why?…
- Fly to Mars? Why? To become a hero? Why?
- Becoming the CEO of a mega-corporation? Why? To make more money? Why? To improve the quality of life? Hmm… To travel? Why? After all, everything you bring back from your travels are fleeting memories that fade away completely with your death.
- To become the president of a country? Why? To raise bees? Why?
It sounds a bit depressing, doesn’t it? Of course. After all, we will all die. That’s precisely why our consciousness, in an attempt to keep us anchored to this mortal Earth, presents us with idyllic images as “final destinations.” Those who can’t envision such a “final destination” are potential suicides. The brain’s ability to create these images is an evolutionary trait. People without this ability tend to die off quickly, leaving no descendants.
However, one should not stop striving for such a dream. It’s important to simply be aware of what you are aiming for.actuallyyou strive.
Do you dream of peace? Have you ever tried to maintain your balance on a bicycle without pedaling? Balance is always in motion. There is no static balance. You can’t stand on the battlefield in such a way that all the bullets fly past you. You have to move, crawl, dodge, and bend. An eternal fight. Peace is just a dream for us!
